This Cookie Policy explains how Helion, a mobile game published by Jinx Design & Development, uses cookies and similar technologies (such as device storage, software development kits (SDKs), and mobile identifiers). Because Helion is primarily a mobile app rather than a website, we use device storage and identifiers more than traditional browser cookies — but our third-party providers may also use cookies and similar technologies. This Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies and similar technologies?
A cookie is a small text file stored by a web browser. On mobile apps, comparable functions are performed by local storage (data saved on your device), session tokens (used to keep you signed in), and mobile identifiers such as the Advertising ID used by ad and analytics SDKs. We refer to all of these collectively as “cookies and similar technologies.”
Why we use them
- To keep the game working and keep you securely signed in.
- To remember your settings and preferences.
- To understand how the game is used and improve it.
- To deliver and measure advertisements.
Categories we use
Essential — strictly necessary for core functionality such as security, network management and keeping you signed in (for example, our game-server session tokens and local storage of your login state). The Service cannot function without these.
Performance & functionality — remember your preferences and that you have logged in previously, so you don’t have to re-enter details each time.
Analytics & customization — help us understand how the game is used so we can improve it. We use Google Firebase Analytics for this. Learn how Google uses data: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Marketing & advertising — used to deliver rewarded video ads, limit how often the same ad appears, and measure ad performance. We use Google AdMob, which may use your Advertising ID for personalised advertising. See how Google uses data in AdMob.
Social media / login — when you choose to sign in with Google Sign-In, Google may set identifiers to authenticate you.
Third-party — several of the technologies above are set by third parties (Google AdMob, Google Firebase, and Google Sign-In) rather than by us directly. We do not control these third-party technologies; they are governed by the relevant provider’s privacy policy.
How to manage them
You can control these technologies in the following ways:
- Advertising ID — on Android, go to Settings → Google → Ads to reset your Advertising ID or opt out of ad personalisation.
- Analytics — you can limit ad and analytics tracking through the same Android settings.
- App data — clearing the app’s data or uninstalling the app removes locally stored data.
Disabling essential technologies may prevent parts of the Service from working correctly.
Children
Helion is intended for users aged 13 and over and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes to our practices or the law. We will post the updated version here.
